Interesting Things On the Internet: Edition 22
Hi. I hope you’re finding peace in this New Year. It’s still tough out there, but there’s a silver lining out there. Or at least a great Instagram filter.
Speaking of social media, I got an invitation to Clubhouse, and I’ve got two more to give away. I’d love to share it with dedicated readers. If you’re interested, reach out. You’ll get an invite and an on the house coaching session.

Is it Safe to Eat Snow?: I ate a lot of snow as a kid. And probably enough as an adult when I learned to ski and attempted to learn how to snowboard (another story for another day.) But was that a good thing? A new study from Oregon State University found that eating snow is just as clean as drinking water. But of course, the fresh, fluffy, untouched snow. Not the yellow or grey stuff.
How I Built This - Seventh Generation: I don’t drive much anymore, but I recently was in the car and stuck in traffic, so I got back to podcasting. As an avid user of Seventh Generation products, I was dialed into this episode. The Newsletter: Newsletters often pile up in the “meant to read” part of my inbox. Or land in a filtered Unroll.Me inbox. This one doesn’t. Maybe it’s because I’m paying $5 a month, or maybe because the recipes are just that good. Bonus: if you subscribe, you get access to all of her recipes, including the Thanksgiving guide.
Stargazing Events in 2021: There are ten big events to watch this year. The first is coming up next week on February 11th; Venus and Jupiter will both be viewable to the naked eye just before sunrise.
Face Masks Into Roads: Globally, we use 6.8 billion face masks per day. A company based in Melbourne is figuring a way to take these masks out of landfills and find another solution for them - roads.
Healthy Super Bowl Snacks: I’m starting month 3 of a total detox from all the junk. Not that Super Bowl parties are happening this year, BUT it’s just a good day for snacking. The grain-free chicken tenders are definitely on my list.
