What to Order: Sweetgreen

Sweetgreen is becoming as ubiquitous as a very familiar coffee shop, and this makes me so happy. Healthy, fresh food should be accessible to anyone, regardless of where they are. What I love most about Sweetgreen is that it constantly innovates and changes its menu, giving you the option for something new with every visit.

If you’re looking to keep up your wellness game at this fast-casual chain in Studio City or any of their locations outside of the Valley, here are two go-to, customized orders:

1.) Grass-fed steak salad. Add: grass-fed steak (double steak), spicy broccoli, tomatoes, warm roasted sweet potatoes, arugula, pesto vinaigrette (light, on the side, no bread.) If you’re feeling fancy, add blue cheese.

2.) Blackened chicken salad. Add: chicken (double chicken), Avocado, hard-boiled egg, roasted sweet potatoes, tomatoes, spring mix, chopped romaine, and balsamic vinaigrette. This is great to eat post-strength training workout because of the high fat and high protein composition of the salad.

Enjoy! ~SP
